Travel to Traverse City and visit the Old Mission Pennisula - home of 8 spectaular vineyards.  Some names you  may recognize:

Northern Michigan lakes are a popular destination.  Schuss Mountain is surrounded by a system of lakes called "the chain-o-lakes".  It is a 75 mile long waterway made up by Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, and Clam Lake to name a few.  There is nearby, easy acess to any of these lakes.

• Lulu's Bistro - Upscale dining with an incredible menu and friendly atmosphere.

• Toonie's Fish & Steak House - Great family atmosphere.  The Friday fish special draws a crowd.
• Bellaire Bar -  Local watering hole.  The food isn't bad either!  A favorite with the locals... you know its good!

Alden
The whimsical village of Alden is tucked beneath trees on the southeast shore of Torch Lake.  Stop in Alden for some boutique shopping or watch the sun set on the shore of Torch Lake.

Traverse City
A 40-minute drive from Schuss Mountain.  Gateway to Leelanau & Old Mission Pennisulas.  Enjoy a day touring the wineries, shopping downtown, or relaxing on the beach.  The activities in Traverse are endless!

Petoskey
Overlooks the Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan.  Known for its historic downtown, boutique shopping, world class resturants, & stunning view - - Petoskey is only a 45 minute drive.

Charlevoix
A charming small town perched between Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix, and Round Lake.  The lakes are sought by many for sport fishing and boating.  The downtown area provides for boutique shopping and delictable cuisne.  A 40 minute drive from Schuss Mountain.
